The official responses to mass deaths of birds and fish become more laughable as time passes. Italian investigators are “confident” that 1,000 dead birds “ate themselves to death.” We find this truly unbelievable because nature prohibits the vast majority of animals from over-eating. Most animals (humans aside) eat only what their body needs to function. If indeed these birds ate themselves to death, what sparked their over-eating? They didn’t just wake up and decide to commit suicide by eating too much. Frankly, if an animal could die so easily from eating too much; the American population should be 100 million smaller. More nonsense excuses, but at least officials backed off from their “fireworks killed the animals” statements.
